Tokyo Blade - Warrior of the Rising Sun [Night of the Blade, 1984]
This is probably about the 4th or 5th time I’ve blogged about this song, but I have decided, after many a drunken 4am walk/skate home while listening to this and singing my lungs off along to it… that it is my all time favourite song, fucking ever! Heres what I said about it last time haha:
Everything about this song is fucking perfect: the heavy intro, the oriental sounding solo riffs at 3:01, classic NWOBHM gallops, the vocals (quite “shouty” for 80s heavy metal) and lyrics and I especially like the backup vocals before the solo “Samuraaaaai” in a sort of Manilla Road, deep voice style chant - Samurai’s are cool, man!
